StumbleUpon Ads is Now StumbleUpon Paid Discovery
Just a few hours ago, I got an email from StumbleUpon, one of the most popular social sharing sites, with the same title as my post. If you remember, I had talked about my little test with StumbleUpon Ads in a previous post, where I mentioned that although the traffic flood was fast, the response rate was minimal.
Now, it seems that they have made some changes to their marketing platform and created the so called StumbleUpon Paid Discovery. So, what changes has been introduced to the system?
In the previous version, you could only create one type of campaign where you would pay $0.05 per visitor to your site. Now, you can create two additional types of campaigns which are named Standard ($0.10 per visitor) and Premium ($0.25 per visitor).
With the two new campaign types, you can target by device such as desktop browsers, iPhone, iPad or Android. That’s cool, isn’t it? You will also be able to get advanced reports about engagement metrics, traffic analysis and your website’s quality score. And most importantly, with the additional cost of these two campaign types, your stumbles will have serving priority to skip ahead in line.
On March 22nd, they will host a webinar for a detailed run through all the new features, you can register here.
Depending on your content, StumbleUpon could be a great source of traffic and going viral. Although my test with StumbleUpon Ads didn’t go well, I will soon give it another try with the StumbleUpon Paid Discovery and this time I will not use directly a landing page, instead, I will promote a post that has a chance of going viral.
